Pet CBD
12 productsCBD made for animals, in two formats. Chews are eaten like a treat and carry a fixed amount per piece. Tinctures are added to food or given by dropper, which lets you scale the amount to the animal's weight. Weight matters more in pets than in people.

Start with the veterinarian
This is the one category where the first step is not choosing a product. Talk to your veterinarian before you start, especially if the animal already takes medication, is elderly, or is very small. A store can tell you what is in the bottle. Only a vet who knows your animal can tell you whether to use it.
How to choose
- Match the species. Dosing and flavoring are built for the animal on the label. Cats and dogs are not interchangeable, and a cat needs far less.
- Pick the format for the animal you have. A chew is easier to give and carries a fixed amount. A tincture lets you scale by weight and change it in small steps.
- Check the spectrum. Isolate and broad spectrum pet products show no THC detected. Full spectrum pet products carry a small natural amount and say so.
- Read the carrier. Salmon oil brings omega fatty acids and a taste most animals accept; a neutral MCT base hides in food. The Lazarus Joint Support pet tincture uses wild salmon and pollock oil, which rules it out for an animal with a fish sensitivity.
- Never substitute a human product. Concentrations are different and some human formulas contain ingredients that are fine for people and not for animals.
What is in this collection
For dogs, Lazarus Naturals makes both a Calming Support chew and a salmon Joint Support chew, CBDfx has a Hip and Joint chew at 20mg per piece with glucosamine and MSM, and JustCBD offers dog treats at 100mg per bag. Medterra's pet tinctures come unflavored or chicken-flavored, both CBD isolate at 300mg or 750mg in a 30mL bottle. Lazarus Naturals, NuLeaf Naturals and Daily Pet Co make full spectrum pet tinctures.
For cats there is the Daily Pet Co CBD Cat Drops, a salmon formula with the amounts set for a cat, and the JustCBD JustPets Cat Treats at roughly 0.3mg of CBD each.
There is a page for each species with the detail: CBD for dogs and CBD for cats. Every product page links the Certificate of Analysis for the batch you receive.
Frequently asked questions
Is CBD for pets different from CBD for humans?
Yes. Pet products are concentrated for an animal's weight and flavored for the species. Some are isolate or broad spectrum, and others are full spectrum. They are not interchangeable with human products in either direction.
How much CBD do you give a pet?
By body weight, following the chart the brand publishes for that specific product. Daily Pet Co suggests starting at 0.4mg per pound. Confirm it with your veterinarian before you start.
Should a pet product contain THC?
The safest choice is none. Isolate and broad spectrum pet products, such as the Medterra tinctures and the CBDfx chews, show no THC detected. Full spectrum pet products from Lazarus Naturals, NuLeaf Naturals and Daily Pet Co carry a small natural amount, reported on the Certificate of Analysis. Ask your veterinarian which suits your animal.
Chew or tincture?
A chew is a fixed amount in something the animal will take as a treat. A tincture is measured with a dropper and can be scaled to weight or changed in small steps. Many owners use a tincture while settling on an amount and switch to chews afterwards.
Can I give the same product to my dog and my cat?
Only if the label says both, and several tinctures do. What you should not do is work out a cat's amount from a chart that only goes down to a small dog.
