What is hemp-derived Delta-9 THC?

Delta-9 THC is the main intoxicating cannabinoid in the cannabis plant. Hemp-derived means it was extracted from hemp, and the molecule does not change with the source. It is not a converted or lab-made cannabinoid. CBDestiny sells CBD and hemp-derived Delta-9 and nothing else in this family: no Delta-8, no Delta-10, no THC-P and no HHC.

Most products here are not THC on its own. They put a small amount of Delta-9 next to a larger amount of CBD, and the ratio between the two tells you more than either number alone.

How do you read the milligrams?

  • Look for THC per piece, not per container. The cbdMD Full Spectrum CBD Sleep Gummies carry 3mg of Delta-9 per gummy and 90mg per container.
  • The large number on the front is often total cannabinoids. A Jelly Signature Series gummy is labeled 25mg. That is 5mg of Delta-9 plus 20mg of CBD, CBG or CBN.

Which format fits?

Gummies and mints give a fixed amount per piece, with no measuring. They pass through digestion, so they are slow to register. All of them are in THC Edibles, with the milligrams for each.

How much THC should you start with?

What does a CBD to THC ratio mean?

Will hemp-derived THC show up on a drug test?
