How to choose a CBG product

  • Read the CBG figure per serving. It is the number that tells you whether CBG is an ingredient or a decoration on the label.
  • Decide between CBG on its own and CBG with CBD. A single-cannabinoid product tells you what CBG does for you with no second variable; a blend gives you both at once and is the simpler place to start.
  • Compare the ratio. One to one, two to one and three to one all exist here, and they behave as different products.
  • Pick the format for timing. A tincture held under the tongue is absorbed sooner than a gummy or a capsule, which pass through digestion first.

What is CBG?

Cannabigerol, a minor cannabinoid. The plant produces CBGA first and converts most of it into the acids that become CBD and THC, so a mature hemp plant is left with very little CBG. Growers harvest early or use specific cultivars to get more.

Is CBG the same as CBD?

Can you buy CBG without CBD?
