Daily Pet Co Cat Drops are made for cats specifically, which is rarer than it sounds: most pet CBD is formulated for dogs and sold for both. The carrier is Wild Alaskan salmon oil rather than MCT, and the bottle holds 300mg of full spectrum hemp extract with a graduated dropper.

Key benefits

Daily Wellness

Formulated for cats, in a salmon oil carrier most of them accept.

Why we carry this one

Almost every pet CBD product is built for dogs and offered to cat owners as an afterthought. This one is the other way round.

The salmon oil carrier is part of that. Cats accept it more readily than a neutral oil, and that matters when you are giving something daily.

Daily Pet Co also publishes a weight-based starting amount, which not every pet brand does.

Key ingredients

Wild Alaskan salmon oil

A fish oil used as the carrier here instead of MCT. Cats tend to accept it more readily than a neutral oil, which matters when you are giving something daily.

Hemp distillate

The base extract. Broad Spectrum has the THC removed; Full Spectrum keeps the trace amount the plant produces.

Is this right for you?

Best for

Cats
Owners who want a weight-based starting amount
Animals that refuse a neutral oil

Not for

Dogs, which have their own formulas here
People

Understand what's inside

What is Full Spectrum?

Full Spectrum keeps the whole range of compounds the hemp plant produces: CBD, the minor cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids, plus up to 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight. Nothing is removed after extraction.

Contains hemp-derived THC. Assume a Full Spectrum product can show on a drug test: cannabinoid screening does not tell hemp apart from other sources, and no seller can promise a result.

Frequently asked questions

How much should I give my cat?

Daily Pet Co suggests roughly 0.4mg of CBD per pound of body weight to start. For a ten pound cat that is about 4mg, a little under half a milliliter from the graduated dropper. Ask your vet before starting.

How much is in the bottle?

A 30mL bottle with 300mg of full spectrum hemp extract, so 10mg of CBD per milliliter. The dropper is graduated, which matters in an animal this size where the amounts are small.

Why salmon oil instead of MCT?

Because cats tend to accept it more readily. An oil your cat refuses is no use, and this is a product you give daily. The salmon oil is the carrier rather than a flavoring added on top.

Can I give it to my dog?

The amounts here are set for a cat, and dogs are usually larger. We stock pet tinctures from Medterra and chews from Lazarus and CBDfx made for dogs. Ask your vet rather than scaling this one up.

How much CBD should I give my dog?

Go by body weight and follow the label. CBDfx suggests half a chew up to 25 lb, one chew for 26 to 50 lb, two for 51 to 100 lb and three above that, splitting two or more between morning and evening. Talk to your vet first, especially if your dog is on medication.
